My mother-in-law wants to visit us in Canada and needs visa to come here. IN our family, it's only me who works and has an income. Should it be me invitation my mother in law or my wife, since she is her daughter? Which option has more chances: daughter or daughter's husband who has an income? Thanks!

It is a matter of who is inviting her, not who "pays".
