I'm confused about getting my police certificate and birth certificate in China. On the CIC website, the guide for applying family sponsorship says that all the translation of documents should be accompanied by an affidavit and a certified copy of the original documents. |
I live in Canada now. So I asked my parents to act on my behalf to get my police certificate. However, when they have consulted with the local bureau, they told my parents the certificates will be translated and sealed by a notary public. The notary public said my certificate doesn't need an affidavit. So, my question is whether I still need the translator to provide an affidavit for my certificates. Thank you.
