Who can pick-up the passport

Hi,

If I and my wife go to passport office and apply for our passport (first one after oath ceremony), with self pick-up option. Can I or my wife alone can go and pick-up both the passports?

There are option about who can submit passport here (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/help-centre/apply.html#submit) but nothing about pick-up?

Step 5: Receive your Passport
If you applied by mail, your new passport and other documents will be mailed to you at the address you provided on your application.

If you applied in person, you can be given a pick up date when you submit your application. You can also request to receive your new passport in the mail. Someone else can pick up your document, but they must present a letter signed by you giving them permission to do so and present a valid piece of identification for themselves.

A quick update.
I had my oath on last Friday and applied passport on the following Tuesday. For pickup they give an official pickup slip. The applicant can actually nominate someone else to pickup the passport. There is a section on the slip to print his/her name (the one who is nominated to pickup) and sign to authorize such.
