Which VO is my application at??

Just a quick question,
I'm from England but the letter my girlfriend got from cic says that if she needs to send in more things or needs more info she can contact the Ottawa office and they are processing the application. So i am assuming they are processing my application in Canada? But in another part it says they have transferred the application to a visa office abroad for further processing.

Just a little confusing so wanted to see if anyone knew what it all actually means.

"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail, fax, or in writing as follows:
CPC-Ottawa CPC-Ottawa, NHQ - Centralized Processing Region 219 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa ON K1A 1L1, Canada E-mail: CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca Fax number: (613) 946-6059

Its quite standard now, we are living in Scotland and they sent our application to Ottawa. You can either join the Ottawa or London threads for an idea of timescales and if you need any help through the process. Unfortunately you're joining the waiting game now!

I'm apart of a thread, just wanted a bit more of a solid idea of which office was actually processing it. Not much difference in processing times for London or Ottawa, but still too long either way Thankfully she got a two year work permit for the UK so we can be together while it gets processed.

So does that mean the average wait is 8 months from sponsor approval or from when they received the application initially??

Received the app initially. (At least that's how the metrics on my spreadsheet work!)
