 hi we applied while we were on vacation in Italy for my father on June 7, my father (an iranian national on schengen visa) was with us at the moment and we had him do his biometric on june 13 in Rome Italy. According to the website; Italy "s time line is 6 days, however, demographically, Turkey will be the country that process the Iranian visitor cases, their timeline is 39 days, i just need to know why this case has been left unanswered for 47 days as of today july 25th.

Hi,

Did you submit a paper application?

If yes: As your dad was a visitor (temporary status, on holiday) in Italy, it is possible that additional information or background checks are being sought from the Ankara visa office. Hence, it is taking longer than the estimated 6 days processing time for Italy

Cheers

Hi.
Thanks for the reply. it was actually an online application that i submitted on his behalf. i did the same for my mother in Spain back in February, it only took 6 days for approval. someone told me that summer applications move forward slow since they are short staff and backlog of applications for summer seasons, unfortunately i can not get this claim confirmed by cic call center. looks like they are keeping us in total black out.

Online applications can be processed by any visa office in CIC's global network of visa offices. So, it's impossible to tell which visa office is processing your dad's TRV application.

You can send a CSE. Maybe you'll get some information or an expedited decision
