Hi everyone,

We decided to re-apply for a tourist visa. Which portal do you think we should use? Gckey or ircc new portal ?

Apply using new portal https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en

Choose option - under I want to apply for a: visitor visa or supervisa
Choose option Why do you need a visa - To visit Canada as a tourist

Just Fyi, IRCC only had immediate family member/ emergency visa option under new portaI but starting from sometime in mid January 2022 they have included tourist visa option as well. IRCC is processing immediate family member visa very quickly(15-30 days processing time) but I haven't seen any tourist visa been approved recently. that being said, I would highly recommend using this option compare to GcKey. I had my parents visitor visa applied through GcKey for a year and they didnt process it so I have re applied their application using new IRCC portal. Seems like application applied through new IRCC portal will be processed first.

Flip a coin and decide. It doesn't matter which portal. We applied in GC key and IRCC in November 2021. Both are slacking. Its just pure luck your file will get landed in someone's queue or buried along no one knows.
