I am working for an Ontario employer remotely from Manitoba. Studied here in MB but employer is in Ontario. May I know can I apply for ONIP by residing in Manitoba and later consider moving?

if so could you please let me know which ONIO stream I should apply?

Move first and then apply. Or alternatively, apply for PR under EE instead.
