Dear Concern,

My present job has NOC-0112-HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGERS while my previous jobs had NOC-1223: Human resources and recruitment officers.

Now my questions are:

1. Which NOC titles should I use to create my express entry profile?
2. If I have different NOC titles for different jobs will it create any problem?
3. How do I arrange Employment Reference Letters? Will they be different with respective NOC titles?

Please help. Thanks

1. While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities (at least 60%-70% match).

Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you rather than the designation match in the NOC list. If you are not sure of your NOC, write to noc@workingincanada.gc.ca with your job title, duties and responsibilities and educational qualification, they will help you find the closest fit.

2. No, titles do not matter as mentioned in the above point.

3. Reference letters should be obtained for all the different NOCs that you have worked in provided it falls under skill type 0, A or B. Check this thread for more information on reference letters http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/nail-the-challenge-of-getting-reference-letter-from-current-employer-t397796.0.html

Thank you so much. So for creating my express entry profile, will I use the latest NOC title that I have?

Coz now I am being promoted and my roles and responsibilities have changed changing my NOC title as well.

Thanks
