Which NOC classification does CIC follow-NOC 2011 or 2016?

Hi All,

I did not have a proper NOC in the 2011 classification and had to use a related NOC in my express entry profile. Now in NOC 2016, I have the code 1122 which has been updated with matching job titles and responsibilities to the work that I have done.

My question is, does CIC follow the 2016 version of NOC classification? Because, in their website, its given that only 2011 version is followed. Can anyone confirm on this? Thanks a lot!

They don't have a 2016 one.

They have 2006 and 2011. They follow 2011.

Well hmmm, the NOC search page does take me to all 3 versions. This is the link to NOC 2016:

I believe that The NOC 2016 structure is identical to that of the NOC 2011 there shouldn't be any problem.

Hello i have this same issue my NOC is not classified under 2011 but has been classified under 2016 but CIC still follows 2011. What do i do
