Hey guys,
I'm hoping to apply for the express entry soon. I already sent my degrees to WES and just waiting for them to get going.
I got 469 Points and are planning on applying under 0621 - Retail and wholesale trade managers
I own and manage my own food import business (incorporated) since about 5 years, selling wholesale to supermarkets and restaurants. Do you think that's the right NOC? I couldn't find something for business owners/directors.
What kind of documents will likely be sufficient to prove employment? I have certified extracts from the business register showing my ownership and appointment as legal representative as well as showing paid up capital for the business (about 2 million CAD). The cic website lists documentation from third-party individuals for services received, do they mean invoices? Will VAT receipts from the government work?
I don't receive a salary from the business and I don't have to file a personal tax return. (Company dividends are not subject to a tax where I'm located). Will bank statements showing that I received the profits from the business once a year suffice? How far back should I go? Just one year or all 5 years? Should I submit profit tax statements for the business too?
If the bank statements aren't in English I assume they need to be translated, am I right?
Second: The business is located in a different country from the one I reside in, I drive an hour across the border every day. Should I get a PCC for that country as well? Even though I don't reside there? According to the cic website PCC is required if living there over 6 months, but technically I don't exceed 24 hours. I do hold a residence permit for that country though. (investment category)
Since I assume all the documents need to be translated I'm trying to get ready as soon as possible.
Thanks a lot for your help.
