Try HSBC or Amex, there has to be someone who issues international money orders.

Well,i raised my draft in us dollars from oceanic bank, but what i did was instead of trying to convert the canadian dollar to usd i just did 1 for 1 i.e 550 canadian dollars=$550
If you sent that draft to CIU Sydney for FSW1 application, it is coming back.

No PMM,i wasn't sent back cos i received my receipt and we don't send our application to sydney from nigeria,we send it to accra ghana.
1. don't confuse people all FSW1 applications from 02/08 go to CIU Sydney where the fee has to be in $Can. You may have applied prior to that time or not in FSW1.

PPm was right, I raised my draft through a friend in canada. I paid the naira equivalent into his account and he raised the draft from a Canadian bank. I have since received my confirmation to submit the full application

Contacted a long lost friend that way and he assured me that $CAN draft can be obtained from CITIBANK. The only caveat is that you most have a dom account.

Peace

dreamteam, it is near impossible to get an international draft from a Nigerian bank. What i did was to send to get the draft from a friend of mine in the UK. I paid the naira equivalent in her account. Don't even try US dollars. as per Nigerians who have gottten their visas under the new system? I don't know.

@ dreamteam - you should seek help of any friend/relative living outside Nigeria because that's the only way you can get out of this situation.

Good luck.

Sorry, could you elaborate your question a bit?

You only need to obtain police clearence certificate if you are stage 2 and have been asked to submit your application to local Visa office.

Are you at stage 2 now?
