Which Marital Status: Single or Separated After Severance of Common Law Relationship?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what I should fill out under my marital status in my Express Entry profile.

I am single but was in a common law relationship between 2016-2018, we never reconciled after. I even had an IMM 5519 notarized. Should my marital status be single or separated?
