I got score in IELTS (r-5.5 W-6.5 L-5.5 s-5.5) over all score 6
so as per canada imm points table I got 8 points

I need only 8 points to get 67. I submitted my initial application(showed proof english as the primary language) before the new rules in place.

1. I need to submit full application is this okay to submit with above IELTS result. I dont have time(120 days rule!) to take one more test.
2. First submit full application with proofs like the initial application and if they request then submit the IELTS ?

Which is better option ?

Please advise.

Submit IELTS TRF now with full documents. They may or may not ask for that at a later stage.
Thanks for the reply.

If I submit my IELTS report now, I think there are chances they can make a decision and may not give a second chance for another IELTS.
I saw in this forum when they submitted with moderate score in IELTS they got rejected despite they got more than 67 points.

so without IELTS they may request for IELTS so that I can get another chance ? If I m wrong please correct me.

No, IT manager (0213, applied before new rules in place).

Do you think 0213 also need good proficiency for them ?

hi KB

firstly---- submit Full docs with TRF included, IN time.

only option u hv is to Improve ur TRF score....is that correct?

here is a solution-
book ur IELTS seat with a gap of 2-3 weeks from now,,,, send the confirmation letter's copy with
full docs....requesting VO that you will sending new TRF afterwards.

devote 3-4 hrs daily, in practicing, buy practice papers (wid CDs) from market, also
join a IELTS training centre. take leave from work for a week or two if u can.

IELTS exams' practice tips -

make ur practice tests time bound just as it is in the actual exam.

say, if the time at the exam is 45 mins, allot ur self 55 for first fews tests.

then keep on narrowing it. like 50, then 45 then 40.

check ur scores honestly, then see where u stood before and now.

make a record of all ur tests, note the time of starting (eg 11.15 am) before Q1 and end time (11.50 am) after last ques.

lock ur self in room, create an evironment like a exam hall.

then im sure u ll improve ur score.

see, ur Writing is gud.
enrich ur vocab. with Simple but new words.

by strenuous practicing, u can surely improve ur Reading and Listening.

Now, the Speaking , to improve from 5.5 to 6.5, a loooooot of practice wud be needed.
so act accordingly. do join an instt. esp. for Speaking.

rest u can manage urself.

i hv done that myself so i m telling u.

u also tell us ur visa application's complete break up.

it will be tough for u, but not impossible. :)

note- if ur score in IELTS is this (r-5.5 W-6.5 L-5.5 s-5.5), then u r fetching 10 points....
4 for W and 2 each for others.

I would advise to submit IELTS with whatever score you have scured with your application pack as per the current scenario and available updates from various applicants, seems like both CIO and VO`s are very particular regarding submission of required dox. so, its better not to take any chance. The test may be repeated in near future and the results may be submitted to the VO subsequently at later stage.

Yes i agree with bnimisin

with this Score you have scored 10 points. so your total score will be 69

a writing Score in the range of 6.5 to 9 is considered as 'High' so you score 4 points for writing alone.

be convinced and send your docs if everything else is in tact

and I suggest Option 1

as u r getting 10 from English, your total score will reach 69, which i believe is Okay.

still, if u wanna improve ur english, and also wish to leave a better impression on the VO,
u can opt for a new Ielts. good command on english will be ur asset, for whole life.

all the very best !

I might be getting away from the aim of the question, but let's assume that the OP (original poster), wrote a letter to the CIC, asking for extension for submitting docs/IELTS.. any thoughts how would have it gone through. I read about some cases before.. and if approved would give him some time to get a better score....

Thoughts..
