Definitely NOT Calgary.

Calgary's economy is in the doldrums.

My sister has been here since Dec 2018 and still cant find a job.

Toronto seems to be doing well when I was there for a meeting 2 weeks ago.

Depends on what you want to do as a job. But in general, yes, Calgary has poor economy at the moment.

Research by doing an online job search in your profession through sites like indeed or monster to check which city has jobs that you would like to apply for. Anecdotal information based on people’s personal opinion will not help you one bit.

So many variables. Better to plan for multiple months until you get a job in your field. You can work elsewhere in the mealtime.
