Which IELTS exam?(academic or general)

Hey guys,

I will apply to master program and skilled worker things.I asked lots of people but I can't get clear answer.If I only took the academic exam.Is it valid to those things? Or have to get both exams?

your question it not clear; are you applying to study masters? if yes, you need IELTS academic. for immigration only general is accepted

Sorry for my language.I want to try my chance in both way.So have to take them all :)
