I have a question about which country law will be applied IF we decided to divorce after landing in Canada?
The country where the marriage took place, or Canadian divorce laws?
My husband and I have got our visas recently, We're coming from a very conservative country which doesn't really respect women rights, for example, women can not file for divorce in any case unless the husband is proved to be insane or impotent.
I would like to know If in any case I wanted to file for divorce, which country's law will be applied as Canadian and our country laws are literally on the opposite sides.
