Where to Validate COPR Visa within Canada

Hi Everyone

I would like to ask, in case of receiving the passport with PR visa, interested in to know how we can validate by "landing" in Canada while we are in Canada. I'm currently living in Montreal as temporary worker (with work permit) and I would like to validate my CoPR ASAP.

1. May I use CIC offices? if yes, would you please let me know how long it will take to get an appointment?

2. How about passing the border of St. Bernard de Lacolle border? if do not have the USA visa, still can pass the border and going back?

I am looking forward hearing your advice or comment if you experienced with similar situation.

Hi

It can take weeks to get an appointment to land at an office. Flagpoling at the Canada-US border will be faster. You don't require a US visa.

You dont need a USA visa for flagpoling.

Can you share your timeline for the Federal part
1) when did you apply and whats the AOR date
2) Medical request date and RPRF date?

1) Jan 2016 Applied, AOR March 2016
2) Medical July 2016
3) RPRF date, if it means Pass Request Feb 2017
