Where to send passport??

Hi there

I had applied for visitor visa online and recently received a letter from Canada immigration to submit my passport.
It states that a decision has been made and i need to submit the passport within 30 days.

My concern now is on the question number 9 i put the current country where i'm now,Mexico does that mean i've applied here in Mexico???Cause i put that i'm currently here as a visitor till 30 of May,after that i'm flying to NY so is there any chance to drop the passport in NY or i have to send in Mexico within 30 days???

Also wanted to check if anyone has recently submitted their passport for visitor visa stamping and lead time it takes to get the same back.

Any help would be much appreciate

1. Where was the email posted from? It might give you a clue. My guess would be Mexico.
