WHere to send passport if I travel?

I am about to apply for the PR after I got my ITA

However, after i apply I will travel outside my country of residence to work in another country. I understand that the processing time could take from 3 to 6 months

My question is if I get passport request when I am working OUTSIDE my country Can I send my passport to the visa office of the country I work / live in or does it have to be the country I applied from? How flexible is the system?

Your question is probably best asked in the Express Entry section of the forum because the people there will be familiar with the passport request letters sent out for applicants under that stream.

However, my understanding is that generally it has to be the office dealing with the application (which may be based on where you work/live, or your nationality), or, if you happen to be in Canada, there's an office in Ottawa that can process visas and issue the CoPR. I don't think a third-country visa office would be able to do this as they may not have access to your complete file without it being transferred there first.

The iRCC team will let you know where you have to submit your passport to.
