where to get letter of crime record

Hi everyone,

My spouse and I are both living in Quebec right now and my spouse will sponsor me to immigrate.

For the background check, do both of us need to get a letter of crime record in Canada? Where do we get it?

And also, do I need to get it again in my home country as well?

No !! you the applicant needs to get you're police check from any country you have stayed for 6 months or longer .Canada will do their own check.

so you are saying, since i am the person to be sponsored, i only need to prove those countries where i have stayed for more than 6 months, and I do not need to get a canadian check? I heard you have to submit your finger print?

We are living in canada but will appy outland. Are you sure I don't need to prove the canadian check ?
