My husband and I are U.S. citizens flying into Edmonton from Mexico, where I've been teaching. Our visit to Canada may last up to a full year. For the first three months we've accepted a housesitting assignment (volunteering). We arrive on a Thursday, and on Sunday we are meeting with another couple who may want us to volunteer housesit for another eight months. That second assignment would put us beyond the 6 months allowed on a U.S. passport. We'll visit an office to apply for an extended permission, but we're having trouble finding an address for the correct office to visit. It may not be realistic to apply and get a response between our Friday arrival and our Sunday meetings, but we're hopeful by nature ... Can you help us pin down the address of the office where we would apply in Edmonton? (That's the city nearest to where we'll be staying for the first three months.)
