Where do I send the application from?

We are applying through common law, outland. Currently in Canada but will be leaving March 30 to spend time in Europe while waiting for application to be processed. I was hoping to apply mid March, is it okay to do so from within Canada even though we are doing outland? We will both be working until March 25th in Canada, should we put unemployed still? Also, would we put our residential address as the one in Europe as that is where we will be for the duration?

What is Sponsor's Status in Canada? I assume it is either Citizen or PR.

Information must be true on the date you sign your application. If you are working on that date then you are not unemployed.

Since you have mentioned both of you are working, I assume person to be sponsored has work authorization in Canada.

I think on Sponsorship application you should put your address in Canada and for PR application you may put your address in Europe.

Yes, you can submit an outland app from Canada. Use the information that is current as of the date that you send the app.

I think on Sponsorship application you should put your address in Canada and for PR application you may put your address in Europe.

if the applicant plans to be in canada when they receive approval, it's perfectly acceptable to put a canadian address in their application. it has no negative affect on an outland application. the address that is listed is the address CIC will send the approval paper to.
