When will the Score of INVITATION TO APPLY goes down below 400 points ??

I want to put a question about CRS points system..


23rd march round declared.
Again 470 points..

Is there anykind of hope rather CRS points merit goes down below 400 points out of 1200 Total points...

I seriously doubt it anytime soon if ever. Someone posted a snapshot of how many applicants were in each range one time and there were some 12,000 I think in the upper 300s and lower 400s. I'm not betting on an ITA under 440 within the next year based on what we've seen in the one year since EE started.

Dont waste your time depend on others decisions, try to get 7+ on your IELTS and start applying for PNP's. Good luck

I dont think it will go below 400 in 2016. It could go down only if there are less people with scores more than 400 enter.

The big question is - will the score go below 450 in 2016?
Other questions become secondary at this stage.

450 may BE.

But most likely 470+

Look for a PNP.

IF they invite 1000+ every fortnight, and the scores decrease by 3 to 8 points every time which is very likely, within 4 months you can see the scores drop to 450 or less. its quite logical. the scores dropped 3 points last time , if it continues than also in 4 months ( 8 draws x 3 points down) u see a 24 points down which is less than 450...

The demand for immigration is only increasing, the number of people with scores of 450 are so great that it will never-ever go down to 400 - thats just has to be accepted as a fact.

dont think much. just see what happened in last draw....This meter will keep changing..what i see is a drop of 5 to 8 points this time..

Yeah, and in 100 draws the score is 170 because 100x3 is 300 and 470 - 300 is 170.

Seriously though, you cannot do a linear extrapolation because scores in the pool are not evenly distributed. Should be obvious.

prove me wrong. thats how the meter works in cricket also. with every ball the projection change, so with every draw the projection will change. you dont have any other meter.

watch a t 20 match and see. with a four or sex the projected score for the team will vary. its a simple maths.and with a wicket the projected score drops. this continues until the match gets over. ( the projection here is based on current run rate. same way the above projection is based on current or latest draw).

I would tend to agree there is no way to make any assumptions that the points required to be selected will drop based on a few snapshots seems more like wishful thinking. In any case even if the assumption did materialise dont you think that even more people would apply due to a lower number resulting in more demand than slots available reducing even more any chance. Whatever anyone may say there is likely only a finite number of EE slots available in any one time period managed by the points required else why not drop as suggested to a really low number and let everyone in whether they meet all the requirements or not, the target score is there for a reason.
