Hi guys. . I have a big question here that I believe that I am currently in a common law relationship with my boy friend who I have been living together for about 1.8 years. However, We have had no idea that we needed to fill out the form of declaration of common law relationship since we are both international and not familiar to the terms of common law. Anyways we got to recognize about our marital status as a common law a month ago and was going to prepare the official documents that we can use to prove our relatiomship for using my CEC application including my boy friend as a common law.

However, our relationship is going down so bad recently because of our family conflicts and different perspectives about marriage and I do not see any hope in our future and might be ending our relationship soon.

I am planning to apply for my PR in next month and I really do not know how to enter my marital status in my application. If our relationship will be ended before the time I enter my application, am I still able to enter my status as a Single or a Seperated?

I do not mind writing as Seperated but we have not filled up any official documents in CRS as a common law so far.

I really do not know what to do. Anyone can advise?

Hi

If you are still in a relationship, then you need to declare your common-law partner in your PR app. If the relationship ends, you will remove him.
