When to look for jobs and sell house?

I'm not sure what order things need to be done in....for example.....when do you try to get a job in Canada? Do you secure the job first, and THEN submit your Express Entry? It looks awesome on your Express Entry application to have a job lined up, but are you even allowed to apply for jobs in Canada without any kind of immigration paperwork? Would you have to get a work visa and then get the job and then apply for Express Entry?
Also, we own our home in the USA. When would we want to sell it and move? Obviously I wouldn't want to have to pay for two mortgages at once, so we need to figure out a clear timeline. Once you get accepted for immigration, how long do you have to move? I wouldn't want to sell my house before getting accepted.

Thanks for any clarification.

Generally speaking it's very difficult to secure a job offer in Canada ahead of PR. How many points to you have under Express Entry?

Approx. 445
Then I wouldn't bother with the effort of looking for a job first. Probably won't happen. Apply for EE first.

Just out of curiosity, why do you say this? Is 445 a bad score? I thought it was pretty good.
445 is a decent score and looking at the current trends it is highly likely that you'd get an ITA in the next draw.
It is hard enough to find a job when you have a PR and so it is highly unlikely that you'd be able to secure a job offer in Canada specially when you're not even physically present there.

It is. That's why I"m saying don't bother looking for a job offer. You don't job offer points to be selected under EE and finding a job before you are a PR most likely won't happen.
