I Have been granted visa for a master's degree starting on May 1, 2023. I want to buy a ticket for March 18, which is 42 days before classes start. Is it a good time or do I have to buy a ticket closer to the start of classes?
P.S. my wife also has an open work permit starting May 1.

It's not suggested to travel more than 28 days before your classes.

in general a month before your course starts and 28 days (4 weeks) to be precise.
