when should I take Medical exam ?

Im going do the inland application.
someone told me I need to wait for the medical exam request to do it is that right ?
Also, am I allowed to get the medical exam in advance then send it when they request me for my medical exam ? thank you !

oh thank you. Another question . when they email me a medical exam request I have to print the email or something to bring to a doctor to get it done ? or what should I do ?
