When is the passport request ?

Hi dear forumers,i understand your feelings now,i know its hard for all of us but be patiant plz. everything is going to be OK.

My question was, i have recieved an e-mail from Canadian High Comission in London,saying that they have mailed my Medical results to the Canadian Embassy immigration ssection in Ankara in March 2009,(CHC has recieved my Med. application on 25 of February ,which took them about 3 to 4 weeks to complete it),so is been already 2 months ,we haven,t got any answer yet from them .Could you be able plz. let me know -What is the prossecing time after the Immigration has recieved the Medical results,to recieve the passport request ? and How long after the passport been sent back to Immigration Canada we expecting to get it back ? Please be helpfull ,I ppriciate all of u for your time my dear forumers God bless you

The time it takes a passport to be returned depends on the visa office. You mentioned the High Commission in London. If you get a passport request from London, you can hand it in in person on Thursday's between 2-3pm and then pick it up again 2 weeks later at the same time. No idea about the Ankara office.

Hi Emmy,my case for permanent resident status handles Canadian Embassy immigration section in Ankara,so they have recieved the Med. results from CHC London,now its been already 2 months but no passport request letter from them,that,s why i am a bit worried,what is the regular processing time after they have recieved the Medicals.?

It varies from person to person. My e-cas changed in December to say medical results received but I only just got a passport request 2 weeks ago (5 months later). Whereas other people have said that medical results appeared on e-cas just before they got their passport request. I don't think there's any way to tell.

Hi our appliction also went through Ankara and my husband had his interview 2 weeks ago and then we were requested to pay the PR Fee which has been done.... now we have to wait for Mississauga to notify the Embassy in Ankara in order for them to send passport request letter.

kingtreek.. what is your timeline.. perhaps we can give you a better idea if we knew the details. Seems like Ankara moves pretty fast if there is no interview. I would say 2-3 months after AOR they seem to request passport.

so you say that i have to go for a second interview? and how long after you have got to pay for PPR after the Medical results ?What is the time frame after Ankara gets the MEDs from CHC London ?

HI BONCUK (family class sponsorship) well i have been asked to re do my Medicals couse 1 year passed after the first one,so CHC London e-mailed me sayin that they have mailed the Med. results in March to Ankara, i don,t know what is the procedure sfter that ?i mean time i have to wait to get the PPR ?

AND GUYS PLZ. HOW LONG MY POLICE CERTIFICATE (from my country)VALID FOR AFTER ISSUANCE ? i gave it to immigration in Ankara on september on my interview ,,its been issued on 1 of September

Hi Kingtreek,

My husband is from Turkey he had his interview April 29, 2009 after interview he was told to have his wife pay the permanent residence fee here in Canada. After that I noticed on ecas that medical results have been received but they were not there before interview. Application was received in Ankara on Feb 23, 2009 and interview was April 29, 2009.

You had your interview..... did they tell you then about the decision..... if they asked you to redo medical then that is a good sign.... Police Clearance is only good for 6 months i do believe...

Police Clearance certificates are generally valid for 3 months according to CIC they may or may not ask for another one. Some police certificates you receive do say 6 months validity but it's in CIC's hands whether they will ask for another one or no.
As for the Passport Request, I would assume that would be the next step if it seemed your interview went well. Did you ask or did they tell you so?
No you won't do a second interview.. kingtreek it's hard to tell everything at the beginning because you are only giving bits and pieces of your timeline..

I have a question here please, if I was able to understand well.. you are connecting the receiving of the medical test to the local office and the passport request, right.
well I did my first medical along with my application the first time in February 2008, and redo it in February 2009, and a new police clearance from my home country, but I am not able to connect between that and the passport request, I have been asked to pay the PRF and been asked for new document witch they have received and told us that my application is under review

Hi guys,well i am a bit worried about the police certificate,actually my case is ,that immgration asked me to get the police cleareance from RCMP Ottawa ,couse i lived in Canada for 7 years( to check if i had any criminals all over the Canada),so RCMP in Ottawa has mailed them my results to immigration in Ankara at the end of January 2009 ,but my lawyer has recieved a letter from imm.in Ankara ,on February 15 2009 saying that , i have to redo my Medicals and they need me to mail them 6 photos,and plus they need my Police Clearance.....3 stuff........so i am confused now ,did they mean Police Clearence ,that they requested to do from RCMP,or they want me to make another one from my country,couse its been already 8 months from the time i have handed my Police papier (on my interview time on September 17 2008)....and one more situation is that ,that the letter my lawyer has recieved from Ankara about this ..3 stuff..(police ,6 photos,and redo my Meds.)on 15 February 2009 ,was dated 9 th of January 2009,so you hear what i say,,,,,,i don,t know why the letter took so long to get to Canada to my lawyer ?(almoust 5 weeks,usually its 2 weeks max) thats why i am confused what police papier they mean ? and some forumers say its valid for 1 year i have e-mailed so many e-mails to Ankara to find it out ,but no answer from them

rorita.. I'm sure you're going to receive a PPR soon! I dont think there is anything left... I know how hard it has been for you and inshallah all will be ok and you can join your husband in Windsor

I think the police clearance they were asking for was the one you redid in Jan .. as the letter is dated jan 9 they for sure didnt have it in their hands at that time.. and yes 5 weeks is crazy! I think you should get do the medicals if you haven't already and send them the photos! I'm sorry but isn't your lawyer supposed to know this? That is what you are paying him for no? Perhaps if it does take too long you could ask your MP to make an enquiry about your application. I'm not sure where your location is now.

Thank you guys all for your support and u rorita inshallah everything going to be ok,well lets see if they wil mail me any other letter,but my lawyer sucks i know she is very slow and doesn,t want to do anything at all,well lets see about the police certificate ,,,,,,,what is MP ?)
