this is what they say at the CIC site

If you take the language test within one year of submitting your simplified application, the results remain valid and will be accepted as supporting documentation by the visa office.

so what exactly dose it mean?
by saying "within one year of submitting your simplified application" dose it mean if i took it in less than one year before applying or after?

lets say i'll apply now and they will start asking for my docs 4 month before they start processing my file so that would be in 2 to 4 years
so if i take the test now after applying will it be valid in 4 years when they ask for the results or do i have to take it again?

That will be offcourse valid.
What I understand from the quote is time of test is within one year means after giving the test, with in a year you can apply for immigration and your result will be valid.
