When does working holiday start

Hi everyone,
I am about to apply for a working holiday visa however I have one concern. I want to go on holiday to Canada in February, for about 2 weeks, but I don't want the working holiday visa to start then. I would like it to start in May instead. Can I apply now and start it in May or do I have wait till after the holiday? (with the risk of no more working holiday visas available for my country, the Netherlands) Hope someone can help me

1. Just enter as a visitor for your 2 weeks, and if the CBSA officer asks, tell them that you intend to return in May with your LOI and apply for your IEC work permit.
