When does a police certificate expire

I have two police certificates from July last year from when I was applying for my IEC working holiday visa -- do they expire or can I use them for my permanent residency application, as I have not lived in those countries since I got the police certificates (only Canada?).

I cannot find this info on the IEC site, so any help is appreciated

They dont really tend to have expiry dates although consensus tends to be valid for 6 months and for something as important as a PR application many would say better be safe and get new or if using old be prepared to be asked for new ones adding in some delay in the PR application.

No real way of saying in advance as can depend who is processing any application being convinced applicant hasn't lived in the subject country since the certificate was last issued. The guidance is pretty vague saying a police certificate should be issued after you last lived in a country for 6 months or more so could be fine with old or might not.
