When can one apply for citizenship

Hi,

There might be a thread discussing this query, but I was unable to find any thread regarding the time after obligation so I am asking this question here.

Please tell me when can one apply for citizenship? can one apply immediately after completing 730 days or two years?
or does one needs to wait for completion of whole 5 years (even if he/she had completed 2 years within those 5 years.)

is it mandatory to apply from within Canada or can it be done from outside Canada? after meeting obligation of stay.

You are confusing the residency obligation 2 out of 5 with citizenship which is different

The current rule requires an applicant to be physically present for 4 out of the previous 6 years at application time. This rule is due to change possibly in the fall to 3 years out of the previous 5 years.
