Hi there,
Two months ago, I entered Canada and I got a visitor visa for six months. I was supposed to leave in April and the immigration gave me a document I had to return at Montreal airport before leaving the country. However, due to personal reasons, I had to go back to my country (France) a couple of weeks ago so I changed my ticket and I completely forgot to give them back that document... also, Toronto was my departure airport, not Montreal.
Now I'm wondering a few things:
1) Is it bad if I didn't give that document back? Should I call the Canadian immigration and tell them I left the country (so they wouldn't think I'm actually staying until April) or they already know I left anyway?
2) My visitor visa says "No re-entry"; I read on several websites (that look legit, quoting what seems to be official documents) it means the visa alone isn't enough to enter Canada (it has to come with a valid passport)... Is that right? So if I decide to go back there before April, I wouldn't have to go through the immigration again because my visa didn't expire?
3) Let's say I'm not going back to Canada for a while and my visitor visa expires in the meantime... Would it be possible for me to re-enter and get a new visitor visa in May, for example, or do I have to wait a certain time before being allowed to go back there?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
