I'm in a tough spot with my study permit expiry date before I am able to get the graduation letter for my master's program. I am trying to get PGWP as soon as possible. I saw that it is a lot quicker for work permit to be processed in my home country, hence I want to apply from there. However, I am not leaving Canada for 3 more weeks after study permit expires and then I will have my Grad trip in Europe for 1 month before returning to my home country. I have submitted a bridging study permit extension so I have maintained status, but its going to take a very long time to get it approved...
I thought of the following 3 options on when I can apply, can someone give guidance on which one would work, or if there are rules that I must follow?
1. Cross the border to US and submit PGWP outside Canada application online, then return to Canada on visitor visa before leaving for my trip in 3 weeks.
2. Wait until I leave Canada to Europe in 3 weeks, then submit the PGWP outside Canada application.
3. Wait until I am done with Grad trip and returned to my home country, then apply for PGWP outside Canada in my home country.
