Hi, as some of you may know, I got an email from CIC on June 25th. asking me to submit my original passport. I applied online on May 26th. and the letter contained information about stamping visa. The letter didnt clearly specify that my visa has been approved, but the seniors here helped me decipher that it's mostly an approval and they wouldn't request for the passport in case of rejection.
Now, I submitted my passport with the letter to VFS Kolkata on the same day and my passport was received by the Canadian High Commission at Delhi on the same day. But since then, I haven't heated back from VFS or haven't received any intimation from CIC. I'm worried now. Can there be a possibility of refusal after receipt of the original passport? I have included all the required documents and previous visa pages while applying online. Does it take so long typically? I have seen others mention here that their passport was received, stamped and returned within 3 days.
I'm really scared. I have checked my status on CIC today as well, but there has been no update since Jume 25th. Can there be something wrong? Or are they again evaluating my profile? Please suggest if anyone here has faced such a situation or have knowledge about it. Thanks.
