Whats the procedure to get proof of compliance when leaving canada

Hi guys,

Please explain whats the procedure to get proof of compliance when leaving canada while on visitor visa.
My mother is leaving next months and on according to her stay permit she must leaves canada before sep 06-2013 and aslo must get proof of compliance.

I called cbsa and they told me that she have to report to cbsa on the date of leaving.
Is it possible if we can report one day early?
whats the procedure?
Should she check in first or go to cbsa office at the airport?

We are in Calgary.
