Does the IRCC ask you to apply through the IRCC portal only if you are in Canada? I am trying to apply for my parents as them using their email address but I am in Canada and they are in India. Every time I go to IRCC to select apply for a temporary visit it points me to apply through IRCC portal.
I have friends applying from India and they don't get the prompt to apply through the IRCC portal and they also had to fill out a form 'application for a visa made outside of Canada'. My parents are in India, I am just using their email address to apply for them, I am kinda confused because I am not getting asked to fill out the form mentioned earlier but technically their application is also being from outside India.
