Hi
I am doing postdoc in Canada. In 2017, I applied to extend my work permit for 2 years, but work contract at university is annually. Because I applied 3 months before expiry date of the work permit (exp. date was June 2017, I applied in March 30th), they extended it for 2 years, until March 30th, 2019. Now, my last annual contract with university is until June 15th, but work permit will expire in March 30th. I need to extend my work permit for 2 more months, as fixed in my work contract. What is my question, if I apply late February to extend it, it will take 2-3 months to be processed, actually I can get it after I will finish my job and I will need to leave Canada. So is it normal situation, what would you suggest?
Thanks
