What visa after graduating in Canada colleges?

Hi ,


I am planning to apply for college. Looks like I am required to get a study permit , but what happens after i graduate?

Does all universities give POST GRADUATE WORKING VISA? or do i have to get a work permit. Which is easier ? Also please let me know validity times on both.

You need to do some research on the Canada Immigration website, all the info is there both for study permits and PGWP.

Universities / colleges do not give out PGWPs only Canada Immigration do that based on the length of course that you complete and most importantly the length of course the institution confirms you have completed . Basically 8-23 months a PGWP same length as the course, 24 months or more a PGWP generally 3 years.

Whilst studying full time you can work upto 20 hours a week and full time during scheduled breaks.

Finally only attend a course in a public college given PGWPs are generally not supported by attending a private college.

Thats what i meant canada immigration gives out PGWP but only i heard only if you graduate from certain universities your eligible for PGWP NOT all.

what do you do after your 2 years of PGWP gets expired? can i renew it ? or just apply for PR?

No job is required. PGWP is easy to obtain provided you meet all of the requirements (i.e. attend a recognized school, complete your program full time without any unscheduled breaks, apply for the PGWP within 90 days of completing your program, etc.).
