Hi I am here in Canada for 1 year and 4 months working as a live in care giver. My work permit will expire in 2019 . but my visa in my passport is expired.I want to go out for a holiday outside Canada but they said I can only comeback here if i have a multiple entry Canada visa.Is that mean that I need to apply a visitors visa? Are visitors visa and temporary residence visa are the same?Thank you

Hi

Yes, you need a TRV to re-enter Canada.

Thank you so much for the reply.

I printed the form but one of the question says details of visit to Canada? Can I just put there a returning worker? Thank you so much and your help much appreciated..

It will take a few weeks. You don't need a medical.

If you have at least one full year of skilled and paid work experience, they you may qualify to apply for PR. Information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

If you don't have at least one full year of work experience, then your options are very limited and you should focused on getting work experience before you consider Canada.
