Hey folks,
I'm a little unsure about the income section of my Sponsorship application to bring my wife to Canada. Specifically: what to write in Q3 of IMM5481
I've sent off for a 2013 Tax Year Option C from CRA last week. It should be here within the next day or so. I'm also attaching the appropriate T4 from my 2013 employer. I haven't filed my taxes for 2014 yet (I'm waiting on a T4), and was told not to worry about sending a 2014 Option C, as we're a fair way before April. 2013 should be fine apparently.
So, in 2013, I was away for part of the year, so I only worked for around six months. As a result, my income isn't too high there. I also went away for six months in 2014 - but now I'm solely based in Canada (have been back since November and am not leaving for any length of time again). I worked for approximately six months in 2014, and have been working solidly since November.
I'm now working for another employer - the same job I did 2009-2011 and also 2014-present (I have a very good reference letter stating position, responsibility, salary from my boss), and also a print out of my UK savings account statement, showing a good chunk of money in it (more than enough to pay a years rent and groceries etc if necessary).
Considering I'm sending a 2013 Option C, does it matter that my last 12 months income will be low? I guess I should calculate it from right now (Feb 25, 2015) going back 12 months. I have my UK savings to show that I have money.
Sorry if this question is a little unclear. I just want to ensure I don't get rejected as a sponsor for some reason!
Hoping to get this darn thing sent off by the end of the week too!
Thanks
