Hi All

I am competing my profile after getting ITA last week and there is one question about "Have you ever refused any visa to Canada or an other country". I was refused a US visitor visa last year but now I have it approved in ny passport. (As I applied later on)

So question is do I say Yes or No in the profile and if I say Yes, is there any way I can relay that information to CIC about it as it is pretty normal to get visitor visa refused for Us.

You will have to answer Yes to that question and also explain the same in the LOE. Since you answer Yes to one of the Statutory Questions, you may be asked for Schedule A later. So it would be advisable to prepare one now itself and submit it along with LOE.

The information that needs to be filled in Schedule A is similar to the ones you fill in eAPR.

Schedule A Background / Declaration - https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjzk4uD6_jPAhVLLY8KHb5yAOoQFggdMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cic.gc.ca%2Fenglish%2Fpdf%2Fkits%2Fforms%2Fimm5669E.pdf&usg=AFQjCNFCVQuSakf9kNrT7pQOlxoSHb_L_w&sig2=DJHwRsHlKvrpIy_fCIgzPA

Thanks Stanlee

So does that mean I fill that form for me and my spouse separately and upload with my LOE to be on safe side.

If your wife does not have any visa reactions or have not answered Yes to any Statutory Questions, then no need one for her. Yours, you can mention in LOE and append it to the LOE.

Please note to save screenshots of all the information that you mention in your eAPR, post submission, you will not be able to view it.

The schedule A form seems so serious! I feel like getting a flagpole USA refusal doesn't really rank up there with genocide... :p

I gave an LOE for my affirmative statutory questions and was never asked for a Schedule A. If the officer is satisfied with the LOE, then they wouldn't request for a Schedule A anymore.

Thanks, I'll bank that for future knowledge. I was refused a work visa for Canada as my lmia result wasn't received in time (it was later refused). I will likely list both of these on a LOE and then have a stat A ready.

Do you produce, if needed, an LOE for each section? Or one that covers all?

Since you upload one PDF per requirement, IMO, it's more convenient to put an LOE as the first page of each PDF if you really must.

Now, for the statutory questions, when I last applied, I uploaded my LOE + visa refusal letters in an optional slot called Letter of Explanation. This is where you can do it too, plus the Schedule A if you wish. Not sure if they've since added a required slot if you answered yes to any statutory question, but my guess is not yet.

Thank you. I haven't seen the mythical post ITA checklist yet. So for job proof, for each job there is only one doc upload and you can smush up all PDFs together? So it would go the below, in one PDF:

LOE - here's my visa, I worked until visa refused,
Visa scan
Reference letter
T4
Payslips
