My common-law partner only has a part-time job, and we are not sure if we should have a salary or hourly wage on the original letter from the current employer (IMM5589 Part B #5) because she doesn't have a fixed regular payment. Is hourly wage acceptable or do we need to explain why the letter only states the hourly wage?

Or can we ask her current employer to write down her monthly salary in the original letter?

Would put down last year’s salary if she also worked there part time and will be working similar hours this year.

Hi! Unfortunately, she has only worked there for a few months, so putting down last year's salary wouldn't be possible. Do you have any other suggestions?

Calculate average monthly earnings and multiply by 12 for an approximation salary. Would explain that is what you have done due to irregular part-time working hours.
