What time can I land at a land crossing?

Hello, I am going to land at the Niagara border. Is there certain times that I am not allowed to do this? Or is it open 24/7?
Also my husband is driving me but can not leave Canada into the US (expired passport). Is there somewhere he can park and I can walk out and re enter that way?
