Hi,

I have a 2-month not working/not studying period in the summer of 2012, but I never exited Canada (just vacating around the country). What kind of supporting documents, if any, should i include in my application? Did you guys include any for your unemployment periods...?

Job Offer........

Thanks for asking this question, I want to ask the same. Also have a few months not doing anything (probably 6, difficult to find a good job, you know the job market right now...) Is this crucial for the interview?

Tried to search the forum and couldn't find a good key word to find the answer....

The interview wouldn't be my worry -- there they want to really see what you're made of. What worries me is the rigid review of the application by CIC officers and a possible return due to them being "not convinced"...

You could just put in a covering letter simply stating what you did during the period. When my wife sent off her application she had a short period of unemployment and didn't provide any documents for that period and even though I know her file has been looked at she hasn't received a RQ. I would be more concerned if you had several periods of unemployment which might have enabled you to hold down a job overseas.

Just that short period -- I explained it on a separate sheet for question 6/F. I hope that suffices as you say.

I would say credit card statements that should you made purchases in Canada throughout that period.

I suppose debit transactions make more sense -- credit cards can be used internationally and may not support it really...

Technically nothing is required. But to have the peace of mind add a separate letter docs explaining.
If you are part of a volunteering, sports or any club where physical presence was there, get a letter from them.

You are NOT required to include any supporting documents for your unemployment periods specially at this stage.
