I am an American being sponsored by my spouse which is Canadian. We applied through the family class which was received on April 5th 2017. We have our account linked and I just want to share the status of our application and see what you guys think.
Application Status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of Medical: You have Passed Medical Exam
Review of additional documents: The additional documents you have provided have been uploaded.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background Check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
Based off of all that, we have been at step 2 for 2-3 months now with no word.
I know this is an awful question to ask but just going to ask it anyways... Based off of the information I provided, does anyone have a rough estimate on how much longer this could take? Based off of personal experience or from other experiences.
Which stage takes the longest? Currently, the stage we are at right now we have been at it and heard nothing for like 2-3 months.
