NOC code depends on the matching of your job duties with the job duties of a particular NOC code. Once you find a NOC code whose job duties match up with yours by atleast 60 to 70%, then that becomes your NOC code for Canada immigration.
Try 2170, 2171, 2172 or 2174 or 2282 - mostly meant for Software Enggs.
Or your NOC can be something altogether different.

If you cannot find it, then email and job duties to NC-NOC-CNP-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca
and they will revert you with NOC code.

As per you title software engineer, you should be in NOC2173.

But check your duties against the NOC code duties of 2173. If you still have doubts, then send an email to NOC team as mentioned by sustsmart15.

While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities (at least 60%-70% match).

Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you rather than the designation match in the NOC list. If you are not sure of your NOC, write to noc@workingincanada.gc.ca with your job title, duties and responsibilities and educational qualification, they will help you find the closest fit.
