what should be my first step?

Hello all,
I got my ielts bands and soon going to apply under cec from toronto. My question is what should be my first step with which I should begin my prepration? Need suggestions and comments.
Morover I have question :

1) I am applying as assistant manager in restaurant. So question is how should I list my duties?I MEAN, SHOULD LIST ALL DUTIES LISTED ONLINE UNDER MY JOB CODE? OR SHOULD I MIX FEW OF THEM WITH MY ADDITIONAL DUTIES? (Bcoz I heared that if you show duties as it is shown in your noc code, than they might give you rejection.

Don't copy duties from online. understand and write them on your own using keywords mentioned online.

I agree with the above member. If you copy and paste duties then the officer reviewing your case might have suspicions about your role and responsibilities. Use the online NOC description as a guide. With regards to your next steps for CEC application, I would suggest getting the checklist from CIC's website for CEC and use that to determine next steps and required documents. Additional duties are okay as long as they don't make you seem like your not an "assistant manager." Others may have a better input on this, wait and see what they have to say as well.
