On both sets of applications including the sponsors and partners.

What things did you start first and what did you wait until last to do?

Also, for the medical it says to provide 5 pictures, can that be 5 of the same picture or does it have to be 5 different pictures? Can they be any kind?

Also, is it true that you have to include 8 pictures of yourself with the application?
If so, what are they all for and can they be 8 of same picture or do they have to be different?

Thanks for your help.

Here is what I did:

I printed off the checklist and worked through the paperwork in the order that they appeared on the checklist. Locating any additional/supporting paperwork that I needed as I went along. I also typed up any supplimentary answers where things were to complicated/detailed to fit in the box(s) provided. Once I had done as much as I could I emailed my forms to my fiancee. As I was visting Canada to see my then fiancee in May 09 I took any additional personal documents and proof of relationship with me and after the wedding/honeymoon we sat down and went through each others paperwork checking and acting as 'devils advocate' trying to pick up the sort of things that might cause questions to be asked and slow down the process. We then photocopied all the necessary supporting docs and evidence.

Prior to this I had my medical done in Canada just after the wedding and had my UK police check sent to us in Canada.

As my now wife was waiting for some additional documents related to work/finances to come through, and the copy of our wedding certificate, she had responsibility to do a final check throug everything and send the paperwork 'pile' off, as I had to return to the UK mid July.

Regarding the photos, I went to a professional photogropher at the local mall and got him to do a set of 16 photos (all the same) as per the instructions on the checklist. This covered me for all the required photos, plus a few extra.

Hope this helps.
