I work as an Embedded software developer in Ontario, Canada on an open work permit.
My job responsibilities are of an Embedded software Engineer but I don’t have a PEng so my title is Embedded software and systems engineer

I’m assuming my NOC code should be 21231

but it mentions something about PEng licensing

should I put this as my NOC code

I did a Masters in Canada
in my home country , after my BEng, I worked as an Embedded firmware engineer, for which too I’m putting NOC 21231

does that seem right ?

I have a friend who is in a similar situation. His title is Developer, yet he does DevOps Engineering work.

NOC 21231 is considered regulated across Canada according to Job Bank, as seen here

https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/marketreport/requirements/5485/ca

What is really confusing is that if the needs of registration or licensing only applies to those who wears the title Engineer or everyone who works under that NOC, regardless of their titles.

I'm not sure if there is anyone else here who has been in this kind of situation.
